For Procurement
Enforceable procurement language and verifiable certificate IDs for fonts entering contracts or brand systems.
Procurement language
All primary brand fonts must meet Typography Standard Professional or higher, with no critical technical failures, documented licensing permissions, and sufficient glyph coverage for the intended markets and channels.
Certificate verification
Every verified certificate includes a permanent certificate ID. Verify any ID at typographystandard.org/cert.
What is certified
Typography Standard certifies measurable font-file compliance: legibility at small sizes, glyph coverage, technical integrity, and licensing documentation. It does not certify WCAG compliance of websites or applications using the font.
Typography Standard certifies measurable font-file readiness across legibility, coverage, technical integrity, and production checks. It does not guarantee WCAG compliance of any website or application using the font. WCAG evaluates digital experiences (contrast, resize behavior, reflow, and content), not font binaries alone.
Workflow
- Require Typography Standard Professional or higher in RFP or brand guidelines
- Ask vendors for certificate ID or public report URL
- Verify certificate ID before contract execution
- Archive PDF or JSON export in procurement records
